Absolute Beginner – Speed Workout

Getting started with your first race is tough, both physically and mentally. Check out this fun and simple workout with a focus on the 5k distance. Hit the track or road and give this one a try.⁠
This workout is approx. 2 miles, making it perfect for a newer runner or anyone looking for a quick and fun run to pick up the pace.⁠

The workout:⁠
.5 mile Warmup⁠

Repeat 4X:⁠
2 minutes fast (comfortably hard, not a sprint) / 2 minute easy jog or walk⁠

.5 mile Cooldown⁠
